DAVSS is an award winning community based charity supporting victims of domestic abuse, aged 16 years and above, in West Kent. Using a unique and highly effective professional volunteering model, we provide vital support to clients who have experienced domestic abuse. Our service covers the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & Malling and Sevenoaks areas.

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team supporting DA survivors to break the cycle of abuse and take control of their lives with new hope for the future.

Our new volunteers receive accredited professional training (2 days a week over 7 weeks) followed by mentoring, ongoing development, and clinical supervision. Our next training course is due to start at the beginning of October, and it is helpful if volunteers can join us before then to get to know us all. Volunteers have told us that this is one of the most satisfying roles they have undertaken, and our courageous clients tell us that this support is life changing for them and their children. Since last April, we have received over 1000 referrals across West Kent, involving over 1600 children, so the need is urgent.
